Mixed technique on canvas - 100x120 cm

This artwork is born from the necessity of expressing a specific state of mind.

As suggested by the title, this piece tries to represent a moment of stasis/suspension of a soul trapped in a particular moment, from which it cannot break free and move on because of intrusions and choices forced on by others.

The painting is executed with a mixed technique. The figure, that stands as the centre of the artwork, is created with a spatula effect , while the binds that detain it, as a metaphor for the outside intrusions trapping it, are appliques in relief made with stiffened paper painted with acrylics.
